Although we have no doctrine as such, we make reference to certain concepts and phrases that are common to many of us. Individuals have complete freedom to interpret the Mass as they see fit.
Specific Terms used in this Liturgy: (See diagram)
These are some of the Aspects of the Trinity named and referred to in this Liturgy:
God = the All-One, unknown and unknowable, undifferentiated First Cause, all that was, and is, and is to come.
Father = Yang polarity, expansive and powerful, inseminator of life, Master of Action and Lord of the world.
Mother = Yin polarity, magnetic and nurturing, healer, mediator, Mistress of Being. Soul of the world.
Holy Child Within = Ourselves as individuating humans, fruit of the Union of Mother and Father, progressively realizing our divine heritage in the world.
Christ = the alchemical fusion possible between the individual personality, the world, and the All-One. The "anointed" state that links the self with the SELF.
Other Definitions:
Melchizedek -- From the ancient lineage of spontaneous initiation which empowered the Hebrew priesthood, circa 1800 B.C.
Kadosh = "Holy" in Hebrew.
Adonai Elohim = The Archangels of Creation, the Seven Spirits around the Throne of God.
Per Omnia Secula Seculorum = Latin, "Into the Ages of the Ages", a movement from time into the realm of eternity. Speaks of a particular quality of consciousness.
Kyrie = Greek, "Lord", used in the Septuagint to represent YHWH.
Christe = Greek, "Christ", the "Anointed One".
Mater = Greek, "Mother".
Eleison = Greek, "Pour down your rich abundance upon us", (which is the literal meaning of "have mercy", the usual translation).
R%. = Response, which means that the congregation should say aloud the following words, usually "Amen", pronounced "Ahh-main".
